Jenna Stoeckel
Jenna Stoeckel is a registered Clinical Psychologist, based in Townsville, North Queensland. She graduated from her Bachelor of Psychology in 2011. Following this, Jenna then worked in a number of different positions before returning to complete her Master of Clinical Psychology at James Cook University. Jenna has a broad range of experience working with clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents and adults, working in government, educational, community and private practice settings.
In Jenna’s practice, her aim for every client is to be able to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore, reflect and learn about yourself whilst being empowered, heard and understood without judgment.
A little about Jenna:
“When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and enjoying our beautiful city of Townsville. I also love coffee (probably too much!), feeling creative through music, playing piano & bass guitar, delicious food, indoor plants, and recharging my energy at the beach or an off-road adventure.”
Jenna’s approach to therapy involves openness, empathy, warmth and the development of strength-based strategies to assist in lasting change.
During your sessions, Jenna will work with you to identify which therapeutic approach will suit you best whilst supporting your own goals.

Qualifications/Training
– Full registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a registered Medicare Provider.
– Bachelor of Psychology (James Cook University)

Client & Consultation Information
Medicare & Private Consultation Fees
The standard therapy session fee is $240.00 per session (fees reflect an increase effective January 2024).
With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, a Medicare rebate of $141.85 is available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (according to the current Medicare policy for Clinical Psychologists).
Out of pocket price = $98.15 per session.
If you are attending as a private paying client, you may be eligible for a rebate through your private health fund. Eligibility and refund amounts vary, depending on your provider and coverage.
Note: The 2023-2024 Recommended Schedule of fees has set the standard 46 to 60 minute consultation fee at $300 by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). This is a recommendation only. The fee at which a service is set is at the discretion of the individual psychologist so it is important to discuss this with the psychologist.
NDIS Clients & Consultation Fees
For NDIS clients, the session fee is $222.99.
Psychology Grove charges in accordance with the NDIS Schedule of Fees. This fee is set by the NDIS.
Please note: All NDIS plans must be either plan-managed or self-managed for funds to be accessible.
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate sometimes life gets in the way, however, both your time and our time are important & valuable. Psychology Grove is a small locally owned business supporting individuals, families and other professionals- just to name a few. We hold a firm cancelation policy.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment we require a minimum of 24 hours notice. If you fall under the 24 hour time period the full fee is charged.
